General Introduction of Xi'an

Xi'an, also known as Changan in ancient times, is major of the ancient capitals of the four major civilizations. It has a history of 3,100 years, and it is the start of the Silk Road, cradle of the Chinese nation, birthplace of Chinese civilization, representatives of the Chinese culture and also the "natural history museum" of China. It had been the capital of 13 dynasties. And according to the ruins of YangGuanZhai, Xi'an is the first city in the World's history.

The Bell Drum Tower:
Xi'an Drum Tower is the biggest drum tower in nowadays China and the symbol of Xi'an. It is located on the southern side of the north gate on West Street. Originally there was a giant drum upstairs, and they keep time by drumming every day. That's why we call it Drum Tower. Drum tower and Bell tower are twins facing each other. Bells clicking morning and drumming evening is the origin of matin bells and vesper drums. The timing system of matin bells and vesper drums got back after the antique show during the golden week in 2007.

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is located in northeast Xianyang and northwest Xi'an, 47 miles away from central Xi'an in the center of China inland. Xi'an Railway Station, formerly known as Changan Railway Station, was built in 1934. It is one of the transport hubs in West China and the principle national railway passenger transport station, located on the north side of Liberty Door and City Wall in the new area of Xi'an. In front of the station and on the east and west sides there are lots of starts and stops of the city buses and Xi'an Bus Station is also here.
