General Introduction of Sanya
Sanya is located in the southernmost part of Hainan Island. It has 19 different sizes of harbors and is the southernmost coastal tourist city in China. It is also the center city and traffic communications hub in South Hainan. It is an important foreign trade port on the southernmost part of the Gold line in Southeast Coast. Sanya covers a land area of 1,919 square miles and sea area of 6,000 square miles. Sanya is also a settlement of more than 20 ethnic minorities and thus there are lots of dialects in Sanya.
Sanya has very rich tourism resources along the 200 miles coastal lines such as the world famous Yalong Bay, Dadonghai, Tianya Haijiao, Nanshan and etc. Not only enjoys with the five elements of international tourism-sunshine, sea water, beach, green vegetation and clean air, Sanya also enjoys its river, harbor, hot spring, cave, pastoral, tropical flora and fauna and ethnic customs.

Yalong Bay
Yalong Bay is a lunula Bay in the southernmost part of Hainan, 7.5 miles long and 28 miles southeast from Sanya City. Yalong Beach is flat and broad. The shallow sea area is 50 to 60 meters wide. The sand there is white and soft, the sea water crystal clear and blue while the visibility is 7 to 9 meters deep. With rich sea resources, the average temperature is 25.5°C and the temperature of the sea water is 22-25.1°C. It is available to swim here all the year round. Yalong Bay is called the First Bay in the world.

Fenghuang International Airport is located in Fenghuang Village of Yanglan Town in northwest Sanya. Because most of the scenic spots of Hainan concentrate in the southern region, more and more travelers choose to fly to Fenghuang International Airport directly. Famous attractions are around the airport, such as Sanya Bay to the East, Tianya Haijiao to the West, Fenghuang Mt to the North and the South China Sea to the South.
-Railway Station
Sanya Railway Station is located in the down town. It is now the southernmost railway station in China. Six trains are on operation in Sanya Railway Station, which are K511/512 from Sanya to Shanghai, K407/408 from Sanya to Guangzhou and T201/202 from Sanya to Beijing. There are 20 Rail Motor Car Sets back from and forth to Haikou in a day.
