General Introduction of Guilin

Guilin is located in the northeast part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the south part of Hunan-Guangxi Corridor, adjacent to Hunan province in the east and north part.

Located in the low-latitude, Guilin has sub-tropical monsoon climate, mild and full of rain. The average annul temperature is 18.9℃. July is the hottest month with an average temperature of 28℃ while January is the coldest with an average temperature of 7.8℃.

Guilin has won countless titles like Chinese Excellent Tourism City, National Garden City, National Health City, Double Support Model City, China International Sister Cities Cooperation Award, one of the National First 24 Historical and Cultural Cities, one of the first Important scenery areas and etc. On November 16, 2009, the United Nations World Tourism Organization/Pacific Asia Travel Association travel trends and prospects International Forum Club-House permanently settled in Guilin.
