General Introduction of Zhuhai
Zhuhai is an important city in the South of the Pearl River Delta. It is one of Chinese five Special Economic Zones. Located in the Southwest part of the Pearl River estuary, Zhuhai sees Hong Kong across the sea, Macau in the South, Xinhui and Taishan City in the West, Zhongshan City in the North.

With a subtropical monsoon climate, Zhuhai has no too cold winter but enough rainfalls. It has a comfortable climate. The annual average temperature is 22£®3¡æ while the lowest temperature in the year is 2.5¡æ. The annual rainfall is 1,770-2,300 mm. The rainy season is from April to September and the dry season is from October to March the next year. The average relative humidity of the air in Zhuhai is 79%. At the beginning of Spring, it drizzles a lot and the air relative humidity is high because sometimes it can reach to 100%. The disastrous weather of Zhuhai are mainly the typhoon and rainstorm. Typhoon usually appears from June to October and 4 times a year in average. The rainstorm usually appears about 5 times in a year.
Zhuhai has become the Economic Special Area since the year 1980. It is one of the hot spots for foreign investment. Its major industries are Electronic and Communication Equipment, Electronic Equipment and Machinery, Office Equipment, Industry System with an Emphasis on High-tech, and Export-oriented Economy with Comprehensive Development.
